Come out and celebrate Louisville’s history, community and culture on Tuesday, February 21st at Metro Hall (527 W Jefferson Street, Louisville, KY). As part of a global exchange of ideas on place, Pecha Kucha Louisville will be joining cities all over the world to celebrate our cities and why we love where we live. Enjoy a festive night with a diverse group of creative people sharing what they love about our city. The event is free to the public and there will be a cash bar available.

If you or anyone you know has an interesting or inspiring story about the city or something they love about living here, please send us the topic description here. We are currently working on the lineup of approximately 14 speakers. The format of 20 slides, 20 seconds each slide for a total of 6 minutes and 40 second each speaker keeps the pace moving, and the diversity of speakers and topics keeps the event entertaining and inspiring. We look forward to seeing you on February 21st.

The Mayor’s Food Policy Advisory Council takes great pleasure in inviting you to our 2012 Food Policy Forum. Join us as we kick off the new year by sharing a vision for Louisville’s food system. This Forum will be an opportunity for FPAC to engage decision-makers in the… community around efforts to create a healthier, local food economy.

Our keynote speaker is esteemed author and food policy expert, Mark Winne, who will address the role of policy in changing our food system, our health and our lives. Discussing of future Earthsave “You know we oughta…” topics in the kitchen during clean up.
